Conference as part of the Quebec Week for People with Disabilities

On June 6, 2022, the Canada Research Chair in Media, Disabilities and (Self)representations held the conference “Le handicap et ses représentations sociale et professionnelle : le parcours uqamien de personnes en situation de handicap” (Disability and its social and professional representations: the Uqamian journey of people with disabilities) as part of of the Quebec Week of Persons with Disabilities.

This event aimed to highlight social and professional representations by presenting the journey of members of the community of the University of Quebec in Montreal with disabilities.

Emancipation strategies, citizenship education and the ethics of citizenship were also among the themes discussed.
