Canada Research Chair in
Media, Disabilities and (Self) Representations
The Canada Research Chair in Media, Disabilities and (Self) Representations promotes the co-construction of knowledge and social links, with, by and for actors who self-identify as having a handicap.
In addition to identifying individuals with disabilities represented in Canadian media and the characteristics of these (self) representations, it focuses on their social impact in order to define practices likely to improve the presence of these people in media content through the development of inclusive policies.
